Rules

1. First and foremost, keep all OOC stuff in the OOC. Drama, information, conversations, keep it out of the IC play and threads. And remember that all IC stuff between characters does not reflect how the players feel about each other. Just because a person plays a tough, sarcastic student doesn't mean that they ARE that tough, sarcastic person. And please don't let outside drama enter into the threads. Just because you may be having issues with another player doesn't mean that your character is having an issue with their character.

2. There is a character limit of 3 at the moment. This is an OC-based game, but still, 3 characters is a good deal to handle and make sure that you stay active with them.

3. There is an age restriction of 17+ on this game.

4. There isn't a lock down on how highly rated threads can go, hence the age limit. But two things please.
A.) Anything R or higher needs to have a warning in the original post. Just because you can play it doesn't mean everyone will want to read it. Besides, sometimes people check their games from work.
B.) Keep it realistic. Please. Don't just have two characters shagging because it's allowed in the rules.

5. No net-speak allowed. Even within the personal journals. The journals are under the premise that they are real books, and a person wouldn't write with a pen the way people type on the net.

6. Use the spell check feature. No one is perfect, and we all can understand that. But in an effort to keep people from arguing over that, it's easier to just hit the spell check button next to the post button. It takes all of two seconds and saves a headache later.

7. No God Modding! It's just that simple. Don't do something for someone else's character. If permission has been granted to do someone for a character that is not yours, try to make sure you have it in writing, like in an IM chat convo. While it's still frowned upon for someone to do this, there are always occasions that will warrant it between friends that trust each other.

8. When threading, please use the following format. It makes it easier to see who's doing what where more quickly. Whether you want to add a status so people looking through their friends list can see whether it is 'complete' or still 'in progress' is up to you, though if you do use it, PLEASE make sure to change it from 'in progress' to 'complete' once the thread is actually complete.

9. Please post the application you fill out in your character's user info. Because we're dealing with OCs it'd be nice to have some of the basics for reference.

10. Rules are subject to be added to or changed at moments notice. Though the mods will post a note stating that the rules have changed.

11. Make sure to have at least one thread/post in the main community once a month. This is just to make sure everyone stays active so the game stays active. And it's not that hard to accomplish, though if for some reason something is going on that you can't and don't want to be kicked, just put up an ooc post or let the mod know what's up.

12. Above all, and lastly. Have fun! This is a game, and while some rules are needed to make sure things run smoothly, the ultimate goal of a game is to have fun.
